Thanks Jack, those prints are Cool! (yup, pun intended) Think I'll go out and sit on the front porch in bare feet and warm up! :twisted:

I really like the P-40 with the collapsed rt gear. Tholse mountains.....get me thinking.....
Is that also Iceland or is it in the Aleutians?

Thanks Jack. The one with the snowball fighters is a good reminder as well that most of the pilots were such young men. Good thing they weren't playing in the snow with the crew in the background digging! I can just see it. "Hey kid, dig your own plane out!"

The Russians had so much trouble with the P-40s in the cold, were ours in the Aleutians and Iceland much the same or the difference being spares available and better maintenance?

I'd say that's a well earned post-flight stress reliever. Look at how clean the P-40 is. Great pics as usual.
