Dunno if anyone else caught the Cruiser on Leno last night, but he talked about his passion for airplanes, actually pronounced 'Junkers' the right way (Yunkers) and told the assembled audience that he got to fly the JU-52 and land it, and proceeded to do a wingover in it when the pilot told him it was aerobatic....kept waiting for him to talk about flying the Mustang but that did'nt happen....but kinda cool anyway.

Does anyone have any better photos of P-51K, N51EW, in Kiss Me Kate markings that they would be willing to post? Thanks in advance.

I caught the end of the interview, I missed him say he was in the Ju-52, but I heard him talk about the wing-overs.

Really? So is it correct to say "Biff 109" then? And "D'oh 17"?

I don't remember if it was on Leno or one of the other shows but just before they showed a clip from the movie he said "We used real airplanes, no CGI."

I haven't seen the flick yet, but in the previews the 109 escorting the Ju-52s looked CGI to me.

He said that on Leno. I don't know some of them do look CGI in the trailer.

Caught the movie last week. Having been to one since Aviator. It was fantastic and I enjoyed every minute. Cool to see the P40s at the beginning (flown by Steve and John Hinton) and loved the JU52 footage. Great music and realistic set details and plots. Fantastic. The shock was that I heard nobody in the large crowd talking or cell phones ruining the movie. Cool!
