I've been somewhat grumpy as of late and was looking for some laughs, so I was watching some old Three Stooges short subjects this evening. One of them, Higher Than a Kite ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higher_Than_a_Kite ), had two very short video clips that I'd never seen before. The first one shows two very quick angles of a B-24A/LB30, taking off. The second one shows a completely Olive Drab, B-23 with the bomb bay doors open and on a bomb run.

Maybe it's old news to many of you here, but I've personally never seen any video of either of these two types of airplanes flying, back in the day. It should probably go without saying, that I spent plenty of time rewinding and pausing each clip, which probably lasts for less than a second each. In the one shot of the B-24, you can see where the British serial number is painted on the side, but is it AM927??? Man, that would be the Holy Grail of video clips if it was! I looked so close, there are prints of my eyelids on the TV screen, but the clip simply doesn't have the clarity needed to make an accurate guess. Hmmm, and now that I think about it, the airplane included is likely not Ol' 927, as it's got the "other" paint scheme that the early B-24A/LB30's had...the non-camoflauged one.

Oh well. It was a neat thing to see anyhow. You'll have to get yourselves a copy and check it out sometime.
