I heard the sound of twin radials and saw something in raw aluminum. Couldn't see what it was. Anyone know? Was about 3pm..

Google flight tracker and punch in the Airport code you think the A/C was using ,that might give you an answer

Could be Taigh Ramey in the twin Beech, D18.

Cool, thank you! I did forget Taigh is running around here. I love his aircraft. I saw it at the Half moon bay Dream machines. It is very nice!

Keith,

You should have come to our SAH meeting with the X-Hunters today, their presentation was excellent. They'll be at Hiller tomorrow.

Keith,

A friend familiar in warbirds dropped me an email today saying he saw a B-25 Mitchell headed south over SJ yesterday at about 3,500. Probably the same bird you saw

San Francisco allows "warplanes" in their airspace? I'm surprised.

Sorry to say it was not me as the family and I were out to the movies and Christmas treeing.

There are only two B-25's in the area. One is Old Glory owned by John Ward and the other is Sunday Punch owned by Lynn Hunt. Both are natural metal and I would bet it was one of them. Unless we had a visitor...

The kind folks at NorCal who control the airspace around SFO are some of the nicest and friendliest controllers I have had the pleasure to work with. As long as the weather isn't too bad they almost always let us punch through their airspace. I highly recommend to anyone flying in the SF Bay area that you try the Bayshore Transition which allows you to fly just West of highway 101 or the Bayshore freeway. This route takes you right on the edge of the airport and often they will have you cut right across the top of the airport typically at 1000 to 1500 feet. This route goes either way from down town SF to San Carlos. It is a blast!

If anyone wants to know more about this awesome route just call or e-mail me and I will give you a brief on what to expect.
