Hello, I am Looking for the original plan of the Tail Gun Enclossure ref 15-7360 Where could I have them please?

One of my friend would like to build a replica of the Tail Gun Enclossure of a B-17

I have the Erection and Maintenance Instructions book for the B-17G (25 August 1944 edition) but I am not sure if this book could be Adapted

Sorry for my bad English

Cédric

I think you are in luck Cedric, as there is someone on this forum that is very keen on B-17 tail guns I do believe.

Cedric,

First, the plans are available through the Smithsonian
on microfilm. That said, the nine pages of drawings
for 15-7360 encompass the assembly of the stinger
tail gun. There are 100+ more drawings for all the
miscellaneous components and pieces of equipment
that are part of the enclosure. On top of that, unless
your friend is into sheet metal, you will find some parts
(the yoke for example) difficult, if not impossible to make
from the drawing. Refer to some of my earlier posts about
the tail gun for some more detail.
