Warbird Information Exchange

I went to the Mid Atlantic Air Museum today. It was another great visit. Once again the staff was very friendly and helpful, the planes looked great...and it was cold outside!

The P-61 is moving right along.

I'll put up a few pics now. If you would like to see more I'll add them. I have pics of just about everything there.

Think they would fly up the N3N to Geneseo next year???

The Museum seems to try and get their birds out to shows regularly and the N3N is a nice one...

Does the P2V still fly Thanks for the great photos.

I think the Neptune is still close to air worthy, it hasnt flown in the past few years though.

That P-61 is simply unbelievable. What a work of art restoring that aircraft!. I wish it was in a hangar of it's own all laid out so that it's easier to view. Neat project...

That P-61 is going to be a huge hit. The MAAM should really be proud of it's members, and founders, for getting this aircraft to where it is today. Thanks to Mr. Strine and his crew for busting their buts to get it back in the air.

Landing gear well (No I didnt climb in there, I just held the camera under...)





Original piece of skin, I am impressed that they were able to retain a good amount of original material





The Dove now has its wings attached.



The C-119 looks very solid.



The staff mentioned that the town has finally approved plans for a new hanger, they are now waiting to see what the economy will do before they start building.

They also mentioned that the Channel Wing should be getting some TLC soon too.

I love that C-119. Man, I need to get back out there again.

The P-61 looks like it's been a bad schoolboy and told to sit in the corner!

I sure would like to see that P-84 restored to airworthy conditon.

I think the P-61 and the C-119 would look badass in flight together.



I love that P-84... I took a ton of pics. Infact that is half the reason I went out there, to get a good look at it. I think the Museum owns it too.. not a NMUSAF loan They didnt mention any immediate plans for it though They also have an F-86, but it is not on display.

I just love the look of the early '84s.
