One rant, B-17 turrets, a new B-25 owner, Catch-22, maybe some neat little photos, Brad Pitt, we got it all!

Scott is one of my warbird hero's.
As always, thanks for maintaining a valuable resource.
Now, you lurkers and posters can support Scott's efforts by buying a book or two from his web site. His labor of love can use the $ I am sure.

Gentlemen,

Published accounts state that Paul Mantz assisted Dianna Bixby register her de Havilland Mosquito aircraft with the CAA and obtained the numbers N1203V for her aircraft.

saw this several times on WIX:
"A B-24 was the box a B-17 came in!"
I think this relates to those occasions when a kid gets a toy he really doesn't care for, so he gets more enjoyment from playing with the container.

Love the Libs

B-25D 43-3318 N25644 "Grumpy" listed with Vulcan aka FHC aka Paul Allen. I have seen pictures of John Sessions aka KILO-6 in the left seat of Grumpy and assumed he was the owner. KILO-6 lists a B-25D also.............so I don't know?

While the assumption may be correct, and possession is 9/10ths of the law, sort of, the FAA registry still lists:

Registered Owner

Name VULCAN WARBIRDS INC
Street 505 5TH AVE S STE 900
City SEATTLE State WASHINGTON Zip Code 98104-3821
County KING
Country UNITED STATES

This is supposed to be a tongue in cheek light hearted quote - not to be taken literally or seriously - hence the exclamation mark at the end! The crews used to tease each other on different types with comments like these as they were very attached to their aircraft. Mines personally the '17 though im a fan of all warbirds an the Lib was a great aircraft too. :) No hard feelings :D
