Liberty Belle in Canton, Georgia!

Thu Nov 27, 2008 6:11 pm

I stopped by the Cherokee County Airport (47A) this morning and found the Liberty Belle parked on the new apron. It looks like someone is doing some work on her-the turbochargers were removed from engines 1, 3, & 4, and a left wing to fuselage panel was removed with a number of wires hanging out.
Anyone know what's going on? If I can work it around my work schedule I wouldn't mind helping out if they need/want some help.

I might be able to drop by sometime in March/April on the way back from Tico, I got some -17 goodies for Don so I'll probably RON in Douglas. You still looking for some nose glass?

The wiring project is seperate from the winter maintenance, but proceding concurrently. I would suggest you ask the folks there on a given day if they could use your assistance.

I'll be going back this month to help with the turbo install. Since I helped pull them, I feel obligated to help install the new ones. If you're interested in helping, PM me, and I'll get you in touch with the guy coordinating that job.
