Great Day today!
The "Salute to Veterans" here in Colorado had many great speakers and some outstanding displays!
Gordon Page of the Spirit of Flight was there. He always has a display of some great items!!!
The B-17 "Aluminum Overcast" flew in and will be in the Denver area until Nov 16.
If you are in the Colorado area, try to stop by.
It has been outstanding so far, and it looks like it will be busy over the weekend!

Glad to see "Buck" is still around. He's a true gentleman and quite a lot of fun to talk to. :)

The B-17 looked perfect against the Rockies.

And as Gordon Page (of the Spirit of Flight) told me the other day...
Here is where the "Spirit of Flight" begins.

That looks like good fun! My dad saw all of those Red Star guys flying, as he was flying a Citation into that airport.

Nice shots!

DenverWarbirdFan,
Great pictures!!!
It was a great event. I saw many smiles on the Veterans faces.
They did a great job setting the event up.
Here are a few more.

Thanks! Great photos yourself, Bluedharma. It was a great event. My financé had never experienced something like that before and she was impressed.

Obiously, you have a much better camera than my dinky little Sony T-1.

I need to upgrade.

When asked during the war: Did you land that?
Newsum replied: I am here aren’t I?
