I was just wondering if anyone knew why the landing gear is canted on the FW 190D-13?

What do you mean by canted?

If you are referring to the wheels being angled in compared to the top of the strut, that is how the FW-190 was made.

Scroll down about halfway, you'll see a couple of black & white drawings showing the gear down. This is standard for FW-190's.

Yes, I know they're generally angled, but on the D-13, they're angled the opposite direction.

Here's the D-13, it has the correct gear angle as seen on all FW-190's.

I'd like to know too, people have asked me while on tours and I really don't know why they are canted in that way.
