MORE WARBIRD PHOTOS

Tue Nov 11, 2008 10:08 pm

Here is a group of airplane slides I just located tonight. Kinda having fun going through all these old slides. I found at least 200 T-6's and nearly as many T-28's. Then I kept finding TBM's, F4U's, Sea Fury's, Wildcats, Spitfires, etc. I'll keep posting as long as all of you want to see them.

This group represents a bunch of different airplanes. Some need identified so I would appreciate the help.

The last P-47 photo was taken at Oshkosh in 1974 (?) flown by Randy Sohn from South St. Paul, Minn. I did a little work on it before he few it to Oshkosh.

What's the story on the first two B-17 hulks? The second appears to be one of the shortened aircraft used as an engine testbed..could that be Liberty Belle?

All three B-17's were at Kissimmee. I can post some TBM photos this week. We'll start with around 16

wacoykc, could you pass those B-17 photos along to aerovin for his B-17 Update page on aerovintage.com? It was quite a nice surprise to see them!

I found at least 200 T-6's

Don't post all 200 T-6s at once, maybe start with 100 or so! I would love to see them all.
