The nose case won't fly unfortunately (it dissolved!), but the rest of the engine looked really good and many parts appear airworthy.

Any word if they will ever retrieve the prop?

any idea what it sold for in the unrestored but recovered condition? maybe a ballpark figure??

Cool..looks like things will work out to pretty much everybody's satisfaction. A priceless artifact gets preserved, and another warbird returns to the skies!

Very cool! That's simply fantastic.

Look at the condition of that piston. Amazing. The condition of the whole aircraft is really amazing.

I see he has 2 '41 Fords. Is the one in the foreground a convertible too?
