 Hope whoever gets it, still keeps her in the general area. Or maybe Mr. Duffy wants another Thunderbolt in his stable!

It's the only thing he don't have. Probably burning up the phone lines as we speak. Just build the hangar bigger no problem. Still have room for HJGB in my hangar..............where is she?

Doesn't Mr. Lewis have the ex-Erickson P-47?

This one would look nice refinished in a RAF SEAC scheme sitting in rather full hangar in Quebec.

No way man. I hope whoever gets it keeps it in the same paint scheme. That paint scheme was not easy to apply. If you look close most P-47's with that a similar scheme have hard lines where the colors of the camo meet. This one does not. That is becausewhne we painted it, we used maskes that were cut and then mounted on blocks and held in place. This allowed us to get the feathering more accurate. There is also an area when the canopy closes to the windscreen that was never painted so it was still NMF. That is just as it was on the original. The invasion stripes are only on the underside of the one wing due to a wing being replaced after D-Day from battle damage.

Yes, Rod already has a P-47. It is sitting a few hangars down from me in the paint shop, waiting for a scheme to be picked out.

I hope whoever buys it continues to bring it to Oshkosh every year. That plane has been a staple in the Warbirds area nearly every AirVenture since I started working at EAA in 2002. Some years it's been the only opportunity for me to get my P-47 "fix" for the year.

Zack....wishing he had a couple million laying around!

Have no fear, Zack. In a year or two Doug Jeanes will be bringing "Lil Meaty" north every July.

Ain't that right, Doug? (please)
