Skip Evans Fly'in That DC-3

Thu Oct 23, 2008 9:28 pm

Check out Skip's flying in the new James Bond. His cousin Fred lives
here in Salem and gave me my firsy Stearman ride eons ago. According
to Fred Skip's co-pilot quit during the filming. The DC-3 flew 80 hours during the filming.

Some pretty wild flying displayed.

Not wild at all rather well planned and professionally flown.
Skip is he master of the DC-3!

That all looks pretty safe, and considering who is at the controls, even more so. Is it me, or is there something cool about seeing a low flying DC-3 while the James Bond theme is playing?

????

I did not mean dangerous by wild Jack....

But you have to admit, that was a fast landing in a narrow windy canyon on a nice sandy runway.....not your typical airport with typical airport services.

I'm sure all was done safely....with just a little less margins than normal
