This week I managed a trip to the RAF Museum at Hendon, the lighting makes life interesting , I will be returning over the Christmas holiday period hopefully having improved my technique and being able to give the time needed to get better shots, any way for the time being a taster...

Picture #6 (the black and red low wing monoplane) appears to be Charles Lindbergh's Miles Mowhawk. I didn't realize they had finally finished the restoration on it. Did you take any more pictures of it?

Hendon is an excellent museum, the aircraft their are all extremely impressive, such a shame the lighting is so terrible but it is good to see that black six's access has been limited though, it was damaged by someone in 2005 due to bad positioning of the knee high barriers; I'm all for good access to exhibits but there is absolutely no need for someone to be able to touch and damage an aircraft on display.

Oh yeah, Hendon is a cool museum ! A must see if you are ever in the London area. Just a short train ride and walk away from downtown.

Ah, you got pictures of plane I did not see on my visit !!! The Grahame-White wing was closed on my visit there... cool pics !

Thanks for sharing, we never have enough...

Those pesky Poms have two of "or" aircraft at Hendon..

S/Sugar was an RAAF Lanc with No 460 Squadron RAAF based in UK.
"Black 6" Me-109G was captured by No 3 Squadron RAAF in Western Desert - flown by them and somehow commandered by the RAF. Bobby Gibbs [RAAF ace with 3 Sqn] always said it was our [his]..
Forgot, the Hudson and Walrus are also ex-RAAF..
