The Castle Air Museum in California has an A/B-26B in exhibition (41-39472/7185), which operated with El Salvador“s Air Force 1969-1974. In some moment after having been sold, this aircraft displayed the name "Lil Sal" painted right over the original FAS camo. I have a couple questions about this Invader:
1. Is the BuNr/cn confirmed? Was there actually an ID plate in it?
2. Does anybody know about pictures that could lead to identifying the FAS tail number of this a/c? (has been identified as FAS 601, but have got not a single clue to confirm this).

The book "Foreign Invaders" lists FAS 601 as a B-26B, 41-39472 ,N86482, and that it was taken on charge Aug 69 and was listed as off charge Apr 74. New registration N26VC . FA601 is sometimes listed in error as a B-26C.

Thanks Mike, I have seen this source, the only issue is that the group restoring the only B-26 Invader still in El Salvador (Ilopango Aviation Museum), reports the civil registration number "N86482" showing up under the camo paint... that was why I asked if there is physical confirmation of the data for the Invader at Castle Air Museum

Thanks Michael, pictures do always help. This one was taken in El Salvador back in 2002, the tail of FAS 602 N-XX305.
