I was at Paso Robles last weekend for the "Trojans and Hoovers" fly in. It was a lot of fun with a lot of flying. I have 7 galleries from the event posted to my website at:

Those are some great photos. What kind of equipment are you using? I like how you got the propellers as a shimmering disc in a couple of shots. What kind of settings or technique do you use to get that effect?

Thanks guys. For these shots, I was using a Nikon D80 with the 18-200 VR lens. I vary my shutter speed for different shots depending on lighting and conditions. For the full prop arc shot in the example. I was at 1/60 shutter speed in shutter priority mode. With air-to-air work, I go anywhere between 1/50 and 1/400.

I am glad to see there were plane in the post, I was thinking it was spam about having safe sex with a vacuum cleaner....................................

T-28s are very pretty in the air, as long as you don't have to hear them. Kind of like Fran Dresher, easy on the eye, painful to the ears

GREAT Photos! I love the T-28. I have got to get a ride in one someday.
