The last dozen or so times I've logged into WIX, I've had to re-register to post on topics. This is after it takes sometimes several minutes for the site to'wake up' on my computer and long spaces shifting from one topic to another. Is this just my ISP (Comcast) or are others having this issue too?
Somehow this wound up tacked to another response to a posting so I'm wondering, are we heading into another 'no WIXend?"

It has been very slow for me over the past several days. Three days ago I could not get on at all.

I just had to re-log in again in order to post this, It's time to go down the hall and apply the BFH (Big Flourescent Hammer) to the servers again in a most serious manner-
This is becoming less and less amusing each time!! :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

That sounds more like it might be a problem on your end... perhaps your browser history file is being wiped each time for some reason? I've never had any trouble like that with WIX, except after I've wiped my browser history.... touch wood! This was done by the virus protection software, by the way... maybe that's where you should look. Actually accessing the sight might also be due to your virus protection software too. Best of luck!

Cheers,
Richard

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

It seems to be the server that the board is residing on, or somewhere between it and the backbone. I've got better than 10 Mbps fibre on the various machines I use at work and it takes an average of about 30 seconds per page to load even without being logged in. Home is all fibre from the network hub here in the house to the backbone and it is running about the same here.

It's been very slow over the last couple of days for me, and occasionally comes up with a white screen with "PHP Error: Could not connect to database" or something like that.

Slow is normal for me since I'm on satellite, but I've had some problems posting photos lately. I hear a 'refresh' click and all of a sudden I can only copy a URL instead of the link to Photobucket I was trying to paste in.

Here's an example - DO NOT CLICK ON IT!

htttp:///windowsxp-privacy.. net/?id=12434619123

I believe it is some A$$h01E with one of those "our virus scan software has detected 352 exceptions on your machine - please download this software" scams. One time it tried to launch some 'scan' routine but I think I got it stopped.
