Good morning guys,

Now that Dean's plane is back in the air again, I am getting excited for the 2009 airshow season. My question is two fold:

Does anyone know if Dean's Mustang may appear at any airshows in 2009?

Secondly, what airshows will be held in the eastern half of the United States in 2009?

the only one I know for sure is MAAM WWII days, which I would very much like to attend, but it will be a very bittersweet experience for me, so we will see how I am feeling when in gets closer to June.

Anyway, thanks for any information you are willing to share.

Karen

I think there are probably only two airshows where you'd be able to see Dean's Mustang: Thunder Over Michigan and Oshkosh. TOM is usually one of the first two weekends of August, unless they get a jet team, and Oshkosh will be in late July.

Some of the other big warbird shows on the East Coast include Geneseo and Reading. You'll have to wait until December for the official airshow schedule to be released to get all the info on dates and locations for shows next year.

I would say Thunder over Michigan is a guarantee. Your Uncle's Mustang is based at YIP (Willow Run Airport) where the show takes place.
Heck, if you are in the Detroit area swing by, you may be able to get into his hangar there next to the Eastern Michigan University's Eagle Center.
Regards,
Mark.
