Strega won, Dago Red second place, September Fury third. From what I've read it looks like Rare Bear had to drop out of the race, no further details other than that.

EDIT: I need to type faster.

While challenging Mike Brown for third, Rare Bear lost three cylinders and was quickly put down by John Penney on Rwy 14. I heard they changed one jug overnight, but when I stopped by the pit this morning everything looked pretty quiet.

I'm sorry to hear that about the Bear. Hope the Lewis contingent can get her up and running soon. Am always glad to see a 'Stang win, but not with that kind of handicap on the competition.

I was wondering if that was the case. I would check the numbers daily and he had been slow all week. I figured that either something was up or he was milking it until sunday. Sorry to hear that the engine trashed. Tho I am glad nothing got bent. We'll get em next year. I just wish they still raced in cleveland.
