A soggy day...in Duxford town.

A stroll down the flight-line at Duxford this past Sunday morning.

Thankfully the rain cleared by the start of the airshow.

That last pic, the yellow biplane looks like a N3N??? Was it. There is one over there.

Peter,

How do you get such a high angle (looking down on the airplanes) for your photographs? They look excellent! Do you have to carry around a ladder? However you did it, they are very nice photos!

How many Hurricanes were there? Is that a P-39 or a P-63 in the 4th photo?

Those are some nice spits. I thought that you might have borrowed a forklift.
Did you see the latest Warbird Digest? There are some nice air to airs of the seafire, P-51 and the corsair.

Well, Peter if it didn't rain in jolly old, it would look just like Reno. Now there's nothing prettier than the early Spits, but the late Griffon ones have a certain mean and deadly appeal all of their own.

Peter, could you tell us a little more about your camera setup. I understand the big pole and the cable release, but how do you see what's in the frame? Can you plug a little monitor into that thing and run that cable down the pole as well?

Yes Peter...more details please, if you don't mind. Your horizons are dead level...that's quite a feat if you are shooting blind. Or, as was mentioned above, do you have a remote viewing screen rigged up? I'd love to learn more if you don't mind sharing your technology and ideas.
