Does anyone know what DeHavilland Heron was used for the kids TV Show "Flight 29 Down"? The scenes in which it was used were shot in Hawaii, but the scheme is very similar to that of N82D, however that aircraft still shows actively registered, and (more obviously) the "Flight 29 Down" aircraft has Gypsy Queen with 3-blade props as was seen more often in Tropical service of these aircraft instead of N82D's 2-blade props.

N82D -

I think I answered my own question. The props and engine makes it a Heron 162, which Hawaiian Air Tour Services flew until its demise. One or two of those aircraft remained in storage for many years at Honolulu, so it's probably this one that was there until at least 2005 -

My kids have watched that movie about 10,000 times and often wondered if it was N82.Its been here at PAE for quite some time not sure if it still here? I can ask around but I know for sure its not in that hangar any more.

When I left Air Tahoma in 2004, Eric had just taken her from his house in Michigan to Seattle and it was on display at the Museum of Flight with the right to be pulled out and flown whenever Eric or Bud wanted to. I know it's flown a few times since then as it went to Colorado for an EAA fly in in 2005 (a picture of it there is on the Heron Wikipedia entry).

The picture I linked to in the post was taken while it was in that hangar for the Annual to be completed. It wasn't a "resident". :)

It may also be over at Spanaway if it's not at the MOF anymore. I've not seen any indication of it going back to Michigan and it's definitely not back in Columbus.

It's gone from KPAE, it flew past the house (sounding like a flock of XKE's)New Years day heading South @ 800 AGL so, since I haven't seen it @ KBFI (unless its in someones hanger) it's probably @ Spanaway or Crest-
