Air Vents - Design help needed - part needed

Thu Sep 04, 2008 10:28 pm

Hey there everyone. I am currently trying to modify an air scoop that goes into an aircraft for a heater, into an air nozzle thats adjustable for fresh air. I was wandering if there was a nozzle or an ideal that anyone was willing to share with me, the ideas the better! And yes I need the air nozzle too, so if anyone has a stash, Im willing to trade, barter and buy!
The one I like the best is something like on a Lockheed aircraft, or overhead air nozzle from an airliner, that you can spin to adjust the flow.
thanks

Buzz out to the old George AFB or Mojave and see what you can find from the scrappers out there. Gasper eyeballs (cabin ceiling vents) are fairly weak on passing air unless the air is being shoved along by ACM's and 14th stage bleed air.
I would assume you would be looking for something like the screw out flap style like on a B-25 cockpit sidewall? That should take you to Chino-
