Very sad news

The article simply refers to a "French airplane." I'm assuming a Neuport?

A poster on another forum confirms that it was indeed the Nieuport replica.

Condolences to the family and friends of the pilot.

Very sad news indeed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Nasta just this past Friday at Bob Baranaskas' hangar at Brookhaven. Vinnie was chief pilot at Rhinebeck and had invited me to come up in October. He also flew for Bob and Chris at Warbirds over Long Island. This is terribly saddening.

He will be missed. My condolences to all who knew and loved him.

Rich

Oh no. Oh man. poo poo. My heart aches.

Y'know, we all know that aviation is a terribly unforgiving mistress, and we've all known folks go west in these old planes, but it hurts a lot more when it's one of the "good guys".

Tailwinds, CAVU, and GodSpeed, Vinnie. You will be missed.
