This morning marked a milestone in the restoration of Lancaster FM159 in Nanton Alberta. For the first time since the 1950s, the Lancaster had both her stbd engines ground run together!

Good news! Its funny to think that theirs one flyer and one ground runner in Canada and England each. Heres to hoping we may see 4 flyable Lancs together!

There is a chance that if funding is available that 2 more lancasters in canada will return to ground running condition.

I have to confess I don't know anything about FM159. Is the plan to put her back into the air, or just get her into taxiable condition?

We won't rule out taxiable but we have little in the way of ramp in front of the hangar and the hangar sits beside a main highway.
