Hello Friends,

I am happy to report that my long-overdue book "Beyond Pearl Harbor: The Untold Stories of Japan's Naval Airmen" should be available from Schiffer Publishing during the last week of August.

I appreciate the support of so many WIXers such as Dan K, EAA Zack, etc. You know who are and thanks much!

For more info, please see here:

I should have an ordering page, etc. up shortly but in the meantime you can get them from Schiffer Publishing and probably soon on Amazon, etc.

Great news Ron! Can't wait to get my grubby hands all over a copy! Having interviewed so many American WWII veterans, I am looking forward to learning about the air war from a different cultural perspective.

Thanks again Zack!

I hope everyone will like it and read the book to get the Japanese perspective of the war.

Thank you Tom.

Sadly, there are a small handful of books on WW II Japanese airmen so hopefully people will appreciate this book. It took me a long time but well worth the effort (8 years).

ron, is it me?? or this topic of your book much ignored because it's still considered a stigma in japan??? after 8 years of research..... surely you have an answer. as for me, i'm burned out on the usual european themed aviation history, i look for the more rare & obscure topics such as yours. consider 1 more sold, i want 1!!!!

CONGRADULATIONS! You have labored long and hard on a worthy topic, gaining incredible access in Japan. We missed you at Zack's cookout. Dan K told me you were just waiting on the publisher and otherwise would have been there books in hand.

Hey Pirate Lex,

Thank you so much for your comments. Sorry that I missed you and the WIX crew at Zack's bash.

I honestly just couldn't do Oshkosh this year after having to cancel my book signing there (publisher was slow).

Any news on your Corsair?

Regards,

Ron W.
