In researching the history of Sikorsky HRS-1 helicopter, Bureau Number 127828, I've found it was purchased surplus by Harry Doan around 1957-58. I've found a little bit about him through Google searches and know he operated Doan Helicopter out of Daytona, giving rides, lessons, etc. I 'm also familiar with his name just through my interest in warbirds for many years and know he collected quite a few. Anyone know what he might have done with surplus Sikorsky S-55 types - two of which still show registered to Doan? Just curious - no dirt please. PM response preferred. Thanks!
