He was the former owner of Quaker City Institute of Aviation and in his younger days was an actor appearing in "The Streets of San Francisco" and in numerous plays and other productions as well as the Army Rolling Along Show of 1961.

He was the beloved husband for 30 years of Marijo M. Murphy, the loving father of Karyn Rosol and her husband, David, the dearest grandfather of Ryan and Zachary, brother of Carol DiGiovanni; and uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. He also is survived by his brothers-in-law, Joseph A. Murphy III and his wife, Mary Ellen and John M. Murphy and his wife, Frances; his nephew, Joseph A. Murphy IV and his wife, Brenda; his nieces, Dana Feller and her husband, Carl and Kyla Murphy; and great-niece, Eirwen Murphy.

Street Road, Warminster. His interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hope for the Animals, P.O. Box 877, Morrisville, PA 19067 would be appreciated by his family.
