So if anyone knows (Paul?) what was the problem with the black Hawker Hunter in Friday's airshow?

He did several flybys with the nose gear hanging down 30 degrees or so, then he put them all down and made a gear check flyby and then landed.

I never heard what the problem might have been...

The owner/pilot Steve Appleton didn't get into great detail, just said he had to recycle the gear to reset a sticky sequencing switch and that the aircraft was good to go. He was cool as can be on the radio and went out over the lake to work on and landed uneventfully.

Does anyone else think the Hunter is one of the sleekest, sexiest looking jets of all time? :D

Yes, I agree. There are only two jets that are as sexy - the T-38 and the Folland Gnat!

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

The question should be "What is the second most sexiest jet of all time?" The Hunter is a master piece, nothing more , nothing less.
Eaven the F-15 (the best looking American twin engined, twin tailed, light blue jet fighter, ever) cannot compare with Hawkers finest.
