Just got back from the 2008 Binghamton NY airshow. Very nice weather and my first big chance to test out my "new" skills on my Nikon D80. Also my first airshow for the year. :D I finally got to meet and talk with Kevin Russo...super cool guy and he has a very nice SNJ. Asked if he was coming to Geneseo and he said he was not invited. :( Also said a breif hi to Dan Dameo as he climbed into the FG-1D...although Kevin Russo said to ask him if he was the sausage man. I don't know what the joke was about but it had something to do with the MAAM WWII weekend. :?:

This airshow was my first big test on my new camera the D80 and the 70-300mm lens. The day was succesfull.....got home safe only to have lightening strike 10 feet from me!! That'll scare the shiits outta ya!

Of the 4 warbirds at the airshow that day the only one that didn't fly was the P-40E! :?

But anyway here are some pics...enjoy,
Nathan.

Looks like your camera is working out for you, eh? 8) Always remember: as in Guns, it is what's behind the camera, not the camera, which takes the picture.

Nice work Nathan. Good to see you getting some action before the big show in two weeks.

See you there,

Eric

Dan's the Sausage man due to his reaction to a LOT of sausage on his plate at the dinner after Reading. Apparently Dan isn't a fan of the large portions so common today. :)

The P-40 had a bad fuel boost pump, so was unable to fly.

Nice pix, glad you side-stepped the lightning!

Rich
