Seems the Vulcan in UK is literally scrapping by still.. a sponsor has just come in at the very last minute to get her thru the summer flight season so she can attend 2 or 3 airshows. Beyond that it back to the dry coffers it seems from news.

Either it will take the airshows with the viewing public for the money and sponsors to come in or it wont happen.....

Sometimes taking initiatives and doing good doesnt always pay off in long run no matter what you do/throw or try at a project.

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

Nope, she flew last week. A test flight to let one of the designated display pilots, Martin Withers DFC (who flew the famous first Falklands War Vulcan bombing raid) get some 'stick time'.
