Rumor has it that a Corsair has come to live in the Kalamazoo area, but in looking at the registry I don't see any recent updates. Does anyone know which Corsair this might be?
Thanks,
John

There was some discussion on a past thread about the possibility of the Indiana Aviation Museum's -5 (N179PT) being sold to some Michiganites....
Never did hear if there was any truth to this, though.

That may well be what happened...the person that I heard bought the aircraft has been flying the Indiana Aviation Museum's Corsair for several years now...although their website doesn't mention anything about it that I can see.

From EAA's Warbirds in Review...
1 p.m. - Dave Folk & Jim Read, F4U Corsair
One of the favorite “Warbird” aircraft
Jim Read will be joined by the new owners, Dave Folk, Danny Schiffer, and Al Schiffer. Don’t miss this exciting presentation as they relate the dream of owning and flying the airplane with nicknames like Bent-Wing Bird and Whistling Death.
Here's some pics of Dave Folk flying the -5...

Well, that is what I thought, but I didn't want to name names unless it was a fact. Sure looks like it is.
Thanks for the confirmation.

Coolness! There's been a decided lack of round-engine music in these parts in recent years.

Yep, it is David Folk. Spoke with him a couple weeks ago at Muskegon and he told me he was the new owner.
