My job has had me chasing wildland fires with a bulldozer through the West Texas brush for the past few weeks. Had several chances to watch a few working warbirds do their thing...

Got some pretty good shots of P3C's and "Fire King" helicopters in action, and some wildfire related stuff too...

A couple of Sundays ago, while flying the Lear 35A we were held at FL 280 while a flight of four A-10's crossed behind us in a loose formation really close.
Last Tuesday, after refueling in Amarillo enroute to Burbank, an airliner in front of us was given a traffic report of a military aircraft crossing right to left. The pilot said he saw multiple targets on his radar and the controller said only one was sqawking an X-ponder code. Then the airline pilot said he had a visual but could not make out how many or exactly what he was looking at. He asked the controller for clarification.
After a pause the controller came back and identified the traffic as two F-18's, an E-2 and a missile! That would have made for a great photo!
