Here are a couple pics from the weekend in Olympia. I've got over 1,000 more pictures to sort through and will add them when I can.

A big HUGE thanks to Curtis for helping me in my quest to get Bud & Ross Granley to sign my book. You saved me alot of time (and back pain as that book weighs like 20 pounds!).

WIX's very own Curtis Block is in the orange shirt in front of the Howard.

Nice pics! I have had the fortune of watching Bud since I was a little kid and in the recent past had the fortune to work with him. Great guy!

The first Stearman looks to be Skeets Mehrer's "Frisky".

Skeets's bunch from Grove Field are a fun group. His daughter and son-in-law and their Stearman "Breezy" live about 5 houses down from JCW at Workman Field in Canby.
His SNJ-4 "Lickety Split" is everybodys favorite I think!

I've got decals on order for Lickety Split. Any more pictures of her would be greatly appreciated.

Very nice photos.

I want a high res. copy of the one with me towing Greg's T-6. I'm also in the blue jacket behind the Husky flying.

I just realized I should have taken a picture of you with Bud and Ross. Find me at Arlington and I'll see what I can do.

I didn't take many photos this year, and few were of aircraft. I do have some fun stuff though. I'll try to get some up tonight.

Nice pictures, spooky! What book is that in which you got the Granley's to sign. It looks pretty neat.

Cool picture, but please tell me that you briefed this with the pilot! That looks like a dangerous place to be for a photograph - on your belly in the pilot's blind spot in front of the prop! :o

It looks worse than it was. He had taxiied up to the shutdown area that was roped off and had ground personnel all around. I just crouched down and shot under the ropes.

Why, it's the greatest book ever made!

http://www.canadasairshowheritage.com/I ... fault.aspx

If you're at all into the history of Canada's demo teams and more you can't go wrong. It's not cheap but it's worth every penny.

Wow, that looks awfully close! I'm surprised they would have an aircraft taxi that close to the ropes while facing the public. What if his brakes went out at that instant? Just me, but perhaps they should taxi parallel to the crowd, instead of into it. Nice picture, though, thanks for the explanation! :D

Thanks. He did creep up pretty slow but you are right though, anything can go wrong at anytime.
