Am I missing an area here? I can't seem to find a registry area for the zero. I count 4 currently flying or flyable zero's. Am I close? And can someone direct me to photos of the zero in (North Dakota?) .... I've seen photos a while back somewhere around here. I'd like to understand it's paint scheme. Is it accurate?

Planes of Fame N46770
Blayd
3 Russian built examples (Mojave N553TT, CAF Camarillo N712Z, FHC- almost flying N3852)
Former Diemert/CAF/Hawaii now static N58245

The current issue of Classic Wings has a great article on the Blayd Zero.

Harada-san's were both restored to airworthy. Nothing but red tape preventing them from getting air under their wings.

Hi Mark,

Harada-san has had three A6M restored; all have the original Sakae engine installed. I'm only familiar with two of those motors being in operating condition.

Here's a link to get you started. Click on "Japanese" aircraft, then "Mitsubishi", then "A6M".

This is the Zero from the Fargo Air Museum. It's in Gerry Beck's hangar in Wahpeton, ND. I took these in Sept. 2003. The plane hadn't flown yet. It was missing its exhaust system.
