If they're scrap, they'd make a nice garden tool shed in my yard!

No kidding Jerry,

They should be given away to museums or collectors if they've been deemed scrap.

From a lot of restorations that have ben or are ongoing, we all know that anything is restorable... lol.

Cheers,

David

If they've got the folding tails, then the rotorheads should be able to fold also.

I found out this last weekend that the guy that owns these two also own many many more! I was told about 120 airframes! His intention is to take them to eastern Washington and put a few back together for flight!

Yeah, Logging..........

If he has some more in Tucson I wouldn't be surprised, I saw a yard there that must have had at least 60 of them (from what I could see from the road)...........

Still, those things are a long way from flying in any sense.......

In this shot you can see 8 pointing towards you. Looking at other shots, this row was at least 10 wide. In between each one pointed at you is another one. So this row had 20 in it. There were at least 2 more rows behind it for a total of at least 60......... WOW

I know some guys that operate two of them on Forest Service contracts fire fighting, the mechanics told me that it's getting hard to find main rotor shafts and tail rotor blades that are serviceable. I guess not many places are overhauling components for them anymore.

THere are a few that pass through Pittsburgh from time to time. I am told they lift air conditioning units onto buildings and stuff. They are kept really clean.
