Looks like a great group of airplanes and pilots. I'm sure sorry they will not make it to St. Louis. :(

very nice planes.. did your special stearman make the trip?

btw.. would any of those planes may need some floats.... the rain up here
is killing us... the lake we live by is up 3.5 ft and lots of the interstate are
closed (I-94 westbound) & I 43. its a bit of a mess and will be for awhile.
One more day tomorrow of afternoon storms, then its supposed to be nice
for the rest of the week.

take care,

henning

The first stop at Iowa City has been cancelled due to flooding. Hopefully the rest of the tour will go more smoothly - I'm due to join up with them at Great Bend, Kansas in another week or so and spend the following week shooting photos of the Tour, before heading off to the UK for Flying Legends. Really looking forward to it.

Here are some photos I took today at the stop in Ames Iowa. Love the 1929 Waco ASO.

Thanks for the wonderful shots of the ABT! The green New Standard is a brand new restoration finished last week. Well over 200 people flew in the biplanes just yesterday.

Hey everybody...I am new to this forum and just wanted to drop in say 'hello' and post a link to my photos from the Ames, IA stop of the American Barnstormers Tour. My other warbird and vintage aircraft images are in the "Transport" collection, in a set titled "Air".
