Is there any easy way to find out what type ratings a pilot has or had? I was discussing a lot of warbird history with a friend who used to fly 17s and 25s. He thought Jeff Ethel had a B-17 rating, wasn't sure about the B-25 rating.

https://amsrvs.registry.faa.gov/airmeninquiry/

The FAA Airmen database lists all pilots (who haven't requested to have their information witheld) along with their ratings, certificates, and medical dates.

You should be able to find out there. It'll ask you for your information to search, and you can just put in "self" as the company.

It'll list something like this:

Quote:
Limits

AUTHORIZED EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT: G-F6F G-F8F MI-A6M N-T28.

Jeff did have a type rating in the B-25. He used to fly our B-25 (MAAM's Briefing Time) many years ago. I was part of the crew.

Thanks for the info, especially yours Greg. Chris, thanks, I tried the FAA site, it looks like it requires you to have addreses etc. to use that I dont' have.

Bill, The only address it requires is your own. You shouldn't need any other than (maybe) state for the person you're looking up.

And Jeff's address was in Falls Church, VA, if I remember correctly.
