Yesterday I was watching the 1949 Movie, "Task Force". Durring the Battle of Midway sequence, I noticed that one of the "prop" planes that the were portraying Torpedo 8, actually had the distinctive canopy of a TBD.

Now this was real fast, because I turned it on mid movie, and so can not be sure it is what I saw.

So the questions are; has anyone else noticed this? And; does this mean that a TBD survived post 1945?

I am sure this was not stock footage, as one of the principle actors of the movie was "flying" the bird.

Still would love to hear your comments.

Joe
