Australian Warbirds

For me from South Europe, going to Australia and visit of their preserved warbirds look like dream. In my contact I have hear many interesting things and see much of the images. I have upload today and gallery of images from one Australian gentlemen, Martin Hone, and hope that you have more to add here.

I don't know. To much of work and no time to thnk about the travell. Some time before I have some contact about manufacture of WIG as well work on some airplane manufacture project [as well I am composite craftsman] but that was few years ago and I have even forget what was that about.

Anyway- Australia is worth to visit and see amazing airplanes stored there, drink Fosters beer, jump with cangaroo and go to the ACDC concerts

Yep you will fit in ok.
You are better off coming in your winter our summer.
Maybee see an air show and some resto shops.

Interesting photos! Some from quite a while ago as the RAAF Museum's SE-5 replica (built by AJD Engineering in the UK) has been on show in the museum rather than in the resto shop for at least three years now.

I'll second Mustang51's recommendation to go to Temora; there are a few other places to see, among which would be the HARS collection at Illawara, the RAN FAA Museum at Nowra, in NSW, the RAAF Museum at Point Cook, Moorabbin's museum, the B-24 project at Werribee and the Old Aeroplane Co at Tyabb, all in Vic. It's a big country even though all the above are 'just' in two states (Victoria alone is three times the size of Serbia, for instance). In addition, the Australian War Memorial is a must see, while on the other side (roughly equal to the distance across the US or Europe) is the RAAFA aviation museum at Bullcreek.

New Zealand is another country, and certainly not part of 'Australia' as my Kiwi friends would be quick to point out. 'The Antipodes' is a reasonable group term for the two countries, as 'Australasia' has rather a bias to my side of the Tasman.

The '(Hawker) Hart' is actually Hawker Demon A1-8.

Hmm. There's a reason Fosters and XXXX are exported. There's far better beers (I'm assured) here. Likewise I thought we'd exported acka dacka? Generally we shoot the kangaroos for getting on the golf courses.
