2008 event of the year?

So....what do you all think will be the event of the year in terms of airshows? I am bias but the P-40 Gathering at Geneseo is a MUST! Never before has so many P-40's been in one location. It is also amazing that several new P-40's that have just come or soon to be out of restoration are hoping to make their first appearance at Genny. Way too cool!

I am looking forward to the new warbird show at Millville NJ, Tom Duffy's home base, in late Sept. I hope it succeeds and becomes a regular thing, not just a replacement for this year's cancelled Wings & Wheels. A solid new warbird show, backed by a strong and growing local collection, is the best thing that can happen to the warbird scene IMO.

Agreed.
Mr. Duffy isn't shy for coming to Genny with a few planes either. Things in the East coast are doing good. More warbirds the better!

Wow! This is good news. I havent been to Millville in several years. I will make it point to get there for this!
Do you know the dates?
For me the "event of the year" will be Geneseo. I cant wait to see those P-40's.

Where did you get this info? I didn't know that Wings and Wheels was cxld! Although I was wondering why no dates had been confirmed yet.
I wonder why they packed it in? If you have any links for this new Warbird show please pass them on. Thanks.

The collings birds at love field this week....... since its the only gathering ill be able to attend this year thanks to school taking all my money and time up. thank god for spring break, i get to spend it looking at 4 beautiful birds. yes i know not as good as all of your selections but hey.. itll be my personal highlight as far as warbirds are concerned.

True, one must bob & weave his way past entirely too many Merlins; but occasionally they're attached to a Spitfire, Hurricane, or Lancaster.
As for the humidity: We've gotten used to grass that's green...doesn't seem to ignite and blow away like the stuff around Chino.
