The title pretty much states it all.
The engines are at Hobby Airport in steamy Houston, Texas.

We are also looking for a test club or prop for the same application.

IF we could find an engine test stand for testing four Curtis-Wright Cyclones in the Houston area we would be months ahead.

Our MO would prefer to test the engines off the airplane.
While I like the idea of using the airframe as the test stand there are other considerations, such as being 12 feet off the ground and having to plumb external oil coolers, in case the engines start making metal.

AND the certified FAA engine shops want $4,000.00ish plus shipping and handling to do the same job.

Can any WIXers in the area help us out?

thanks,

SPANNER

If you could find someone thats reasonable and good at fab work, you could build one. Just copy something like the stand for KC-97's, chain it to a trailer, add the gauges and controls.
