CBS 11TV is reporting a tornado in the vicinity of the Breckenridge airport (again).

Guys keep your heads down. DFW area's next. I'm watching it get pretty dark to the west.

My fingers are crossed that the tornado avoids all airports, houses, people, and cows.

Underground hangars... That might be worth it.

Ahhh..good idea..had that thought myself, but don't forget submersible pumps for rain season though!

Too bad surplus USAF hardened hangers can't be economically purchased and transported.

I hope the Ezell's escaped further damage from this new storm before they were able to rebuild
their defenses... :?

The simple solution would be to strengthen the roofs and walls of the hangars, and then backfill around them, being sure to taper them well and pack the dirt down, as well as raise the level of the ground between them, resulting in buried hangars... They'll look like surface ammo bunkers when finished, and should be mainly weather resistant. And won't need pumps since above the watertable already...

We had strong winds and rain last night, but no hail here in the Maypearl/Lancaster area. Steve said they didn't see any twisting action or hail, just rain and wind at KBKD.
