LBJ was a Maruader Pilot?

I'll assume you're serious
LBJ received a commission has a USNR LCDR and was sent on a fact finding mission to the SWP.
He flew on a mission to Lae has a observer with the 22nd BG.
His B-26 aborted shortly after take-off but LBJ's buddies pushed through a Silver Star for his gallantry in action. :?
