Fokker jet trainer

Greetings all,

this year will be published one book where I am cooauthor and the book is about the Dutch jet trainer Fokker S-14 Machtrainer. In this way I would like to display few of the images of this airplane. One present prototype of this airplane and the rest two show preserved prototype in Aviodrome museum.

Although I hate to admit it, the Fouga was the first mass produced jet trainer and not the first period. The Fokker came first. Saw it at soesterberg, very nice aircraft. Hope to see one flying one day! Didn't the KLU historic flight have one under restoration?

I have hear various story about the preserved Machtrainers and it is possible that one will be managed into the airworthy conditions. It is true that Machtrainer was first at all but it was too easy to fly so it was never adopted as NATO trainer as that was plan in the first time.

Yes Inspector- among the things which will be placed in the header will be this plane. I still work on scripts for this update. I have find today error in one line of script on test site...

Wellknown testpilot Gerben Sonderman was killed in L-4 when it crashed in the U.S....

Sonderman was excellent pilot as well close friend of netherlands Prince. I have dedicated one two art for him. One is digital:

Hi,
That's great news, a very interesting aircraft.

Was used in the Lockheed aerobatic trophy, which roughly equates to using an elephant to unicycle.

There's another example on show at the Dutch Military Aviation Museum.

Who is the publisher? When's it out?

JDK- it alreday have to be published by the end of last year and then we get a cross of the whole box in private hands with great number of less know data so some time was need to read it, select it and include in the text. Much before was done technical drawings [based on blueprints, exctract from manual and remeasure of the actual airplane].

Publisher is Dutch and more info will come later. As well there will be alsdo promotion of the book, I have prepare ten signed prints of the art of Machtrainer in climb. This will be display for sale only on that event and no sale after that.

Anyway, this airplane was not selected for the wide operational service and ultimate trainer become T-33.

And here's a plaque I saw in the Aviodrome.

I'm interested in the mention of the idea of restoring one to fly. Do you have any more info on that, or could you find out more for us?

Resin model will be based on my drawings. About restoring, in this moment is hunting for finances as I know. Technicaly all need material is possible to find. All thing is somehow ad acta
