You know I looked at Yougoslavian F-86D in Binghampton NY in about 1986 or so, I wonder if that was the same one. I've got some pics of it somewhere.........

Owner had been killed in a T-6 Crash in TX the year before....

Ring any bells?

The bidding has ended for both items and there were no bids on either.

Is the owner still willing to sell? OOPS EDIT I didn't read P51mstg's reply closely enough. Tough to contact someone in the hereafter unless you're Shirley Maclaine. I remember seeing the F-86 on E-bay quite a whjile ago and if I remember correctly, it had to be moved in a short time frame. Hope it wasn't scrapped. If nothing else, it would make a good static for a museum until funding became available to fly it.

That airplane has been for sale for quite a while. This is the 2nd or 3rd time that it has appeared on ebay. There was also an ad in trade-a-plane or similiar publication a few months back. I suspect the owner is still willing to sell, but most likely at a price that very few are willing to pay.

The airplane will not be scrapped, he is not like that. I just wish it would go to the VTMilita Museum so it can get painted in the 37th fighter markings when they were based at Ethan Allen AFB. The airplane is only 33 mi away!!!!

Click on the link and then click on the pic. My dad did the display. It came out great!!!!
