Hello,
I have been posting information and pictures of my "VCS-35" project. It is based on the Seversky/Republic P-35A. I know the controversy of "P-35A" versus "EP-106", its correct designation (I just prefer calling it a P-35A!). I am aware of certain WIX members who have access to the P-35 at Wright-Patterson and Kermit's P-35A. I too have had personal access to the AT-12 at Chino. My problem is that when fuselage dimensions are compared from frame 13 (tail) to frame 1 (firewall) they differ between the P-35, P-35A and AT-12. The factory drawings are damaged and missing some basic dimensional information. When the P-35A fuselage was lengthened from the original P-35 a station named "9A" as added. My problem is that I do not know the distance (in inches) from station 10 to 9A (forward of horizontal stabilizer) , 9A to 9, 9 to 8 and 8 to 7 (just aft of the side fuselage door). The AT-12 is similar up to frame 10 (it has the fuselage extension 9A but varies from the P-35A). I am at a loss trying to interpolate these critical dimensions from other resources (I even tried scale model drawings!)

This what I have so far for the P-35A:
Total Length (Rudder to Prop Hub) 322" (26' 10")
Rudder = 29 3/4"
FW to Cowl = 62 5/8"
Propeller (3E50-345) = 14 9/32"
ESTIMATED Total Fuselage Length = 215 11/32"

Firewall (#1) to Station #2 = 11.480
Station #2 to Station #3 = 14 1/2
Station #3 to Station #4 = 14 61/64
Station #4 to Station #5 = 16 3/32
Station #5 to Station #6 = 19 21/64
Station #6 to Station #7 = 18 3/4
Station #7 to Station #8 = Unknown
Station #8 to Station #9 = Unknown
Station #9 to Station #9A = Unknown
Station #9A to Station #10 = Unknown
Station #10 to Station #11 = 18 3/4
Station #11 to Station #12 = 14 5/8
Station #12 to Station #13 = 14 3/16

Anything that can be added or corrected by members who have access to the previously mentioned aircraft or has data that can complete this list please PM or respond this thread. I thank all in advance for your continued support and help with this project.

What are the chances of finding a photo of one of the A models that is of sufficient detail to be able to see rivet lines? From that, knowing the dimensions of various other stations, it would be possible to calculate the needed station locations within a reasonable tolerence.
