When I was a young lad, as part of the Air Force law enforcement academy, we had the pleasure of spending a week at this lovely establishment called Camp Bullis for war games. I remember there being several airframes parked in different locations around the grounds/out in the woods. Was wondering if anyone has been able to get pix of the aircraft or if anyone knows if the airframes are even still there. Sorry about the vagueness, time has blurred my memories, any pix or info is just for reminiscence sake. Thanks as always

I remember seeing a bunch of F-105's parked up there from when I flew over it many years ago in the 90's. I don't know if they are still there though. This was in addition to the F-105's parked on the simulated flight line at Lackland.

If my eyes don't deceive me, it appears from fly-over, that the last of the airframes were trucked out of there within the last 2-3 years.

Thanks ya'll :P

I have seen pix and recent postings here on WIX about the F-105s...think most if not all of them have been demilled and all.

The planes that I was curious about were out at the health spa, otherwise known at the time as Camp Bullis  I was there in the early 80s and know for certain that there were several T-28s or T-34s parked in various areas for simulated terrorist attacks on aircraft parking areas. Yup, very far ahead of their time in training! It was Air Force training afterall

Thanx again...

There were 3 F-105s and 3 F-101B Voodoos parked alongside the CALS (Combat Assault Landing Strip) at Camp Bullis. I have some so-so photos of the birds from 1999 I'll post if I can find them. They were pretty stripped down - no seats, instruments, engines, etc........
