I think it went to Australia but not sure.

That airplane was disassembled and sent to Australia for use in rebuilding a flyable example by the Tecnical Air Intelligence Unit (I believe). The station that did all the work was Eagle Field at Brisbane.

PISS PISS PISS PISS! Now that is out of the way I will get to the point. My grandpa was stationed in Pearl city Hawaii during WWII and his unit was responsible for deciphering code. He told me stories about Japanese aircraft made of wood and bamboo that were brought to Pearl City for shipment back to the USA. He said they were beautiful. Well these pictures are close to what I imagined. Thanks Jack.

it was flown at brisbane airport(now known as archerfeild airport)it was the first a6m3 model32 captured and flown and also it was a presentation aircraft (note the writing dehind the hinomaru).
