Plans for the C-47 Ryan mentioned he would start a forum for us soon. We are leaving to pick it up next month. Photos from the airport starting point, to the day we land will be online and posted as updates daily. Upon arrival at Camarillo Airport here at home we will have formed up with our B-25 about 30 miles out so that can have a formation photo of sorts of us bringing the plane in to our new home. We cant fly formation on a ferry flight permit, but maybe well just some air to air shots of it for everyone.

We have a 8 month restoration plan for her before shes on the touring circuit with an exemption for taking people fr educational flights.

So tune in, and on May 18th or 19th "Aluminium Mistress" will be landing at Camarillo Airport and everyone in the area is more than welcome to come out to help wlcome her home.

Please email me for our mailing list to let you know when shes coming in for sure.

An update on her history. We are pretty sure the C-47 was part of the 64th Troop Carrier Group. If any one has the listing of the Squadrons in that Group, Id appreciate any information anyone has on them?

We are very close to knowing her squadron and original markings!

Cheers!

Try this link for information on the 64th TCG: http://www.firebirds.org/menu1/coleson1.htm
The Squadrons assigned were the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 35th.
